Powerlifting and Fitness

I have always enjoyed weight lifting and just recently I competed in my first bench press competition in which I placed second. Thus began my new passion - powerlifting. What's great about this sport is that your worst competition is yourself. Each time you lift you compare yourself to what you previously lifted. Each time you successfully lift you become more confident in your ability and your strength. Other competitors are extremely supportive. It doesn't matter if you lift 100lbs or 500 lbs as long as you are doing your best and reaching towards your goal.

Here are a few pictures of female powerlifters.
